About Habits and Addictions

A habit is something that has been learned by repeatedly doing 'the habit' and becoming something you do without even thinking about it. Habits are therefore quite easy to re-learn so you no longer have the habit.

addiction is a physical or psychological necessity to do something (often originating from a bad habit), which is accompanied by actual changes in the brain chemistry and therefore more in-depth therapy is usually required for the person to rid themselves of the addiction.
